Where It Hurts

It’s not often you stumble upon a harmonically alluring Hardstyle track afloat in melodies but today Sephyx and Bonnie X Clyde have delivered exactly that with their latest music video for ‘Where It Hurts‘; a composition full of raw energy and Hardstyle power. The video is an excursion from a producer’s bedroom to the mainstage but really an emotional ballad with beautiful vocals and an emotional lead. You can hear obvious influences coming from each side as Bonnie x Clyde tackle the vocals fused with Trap like percussion through rolling hi-hats and Sephyx holds it down with a Hardstyle kick that boasts low-end power.

Short and sweet took it for the win here – now comes the musical goodies! Catch the exclusive Spotify drop this January 17th and a full track release the 23rd via Coone’s very own label, Dirty Workz. Brace yourselves.

What happens when you mix the sounds of bass-heavy DJ/producer, DOWNLOWD, with the funky vibe of pop duo, FLY BY MIDNIGHT? Is the successful mesh of two polarizing sounds even possible?

The answer is yes, and it comes today in form of DOWNLOWD’s most dynamic remix—and as the first release of the new year for the namely ‘wub wub wub’ producer. As an official undertaking for FLY BY MIDNIGHT, El Paso born/Los Angeles local genre-bending artist – DOWNLOWD, produces a remix for the popular single “XL.”

He resurfaces depth through vibrations of unique mystique for the already well-known track.

DOWNLOWD says of the project:

“I love Fly By Midnight and their tunes. I think they have huge potential to be the next big thing. Plus they’re great guys. The tune is a love song about getting cozy with your significant other- I really wanted to capitalize on the happy, positive vibes with the remix while giving it some energy.”

Whats more exciting, while DOWNLOWD has stated remixes won’t play into the main canon of his adventure (for now), the artwork for his remix of “XL” may hint at the possibility of potential ‘elseworlds’ in DOWNLOWD’s universe. Learn more about DOWNLOWD’s story through his most recent original single’s comprehensive premiere via Huffington Post.
