Boy band Angeles has been signed by Warner Music Latina.

The Cuban group, formed by Ángel Rodriguez Quintero, Sian Chiong, Hansel Delgado and Mikel Korta Torres, now joins Warner’s rooster who together with producer Sergio George will take their careers to an international level with a deal that includes distribution and promotion.

“Angeles is going to revolutionize Cuban pop music. No one has ever seen a boy band like them, they’re going to take over stages all over the world not only with their songs but also with their amazing live show that is very characteristic to all Cuban groups,” said Grammy winner George in a statement announcing the signing.

Angeles is a new youth sensation in Cuba that has rolled up a string of successes in a short time. The group quickly attracted the attention of young fans, who in 2013 packed Havana’s Coliseo de la Ciudad Deportiva de La Habana, breaking a new venue record of 20,000 spectators.

“It’s incredible that after five years of having a career in Cuba, we have managed to sign with Warner Music,” said Angeles member Rodriguez. “It’s something that leaves you speechless, at least for the Cuban musicians of the new generation.”

Today (June 23) Angeles is releasing their first single in the U.S., “Me Mata Tu Amor,” a song that fuses pop and cubatón. Watch their music video below:

“We are very excited that Angeles is now part of the Warner family. Together we will accompany them to achieve all the goals they propose and achieve all the international triumphs that they will gather throughout their musical career,” added Gabriela Martinez, GM Warner Music Latina & SVP Marketing Latin America.

Performing together at this year’s Governor’s Ball, Tame Impala’s principal band member Kevin Parker collaborated with English musician Mark Ronson for a DJ set, featuring SZA on the vocals. The surprising trifold has carried that momentum into the recording studio. Originally perceived as a Parker and Ronson endeavor, SZA recently gave word to the Los Angeles Times that she is involved in the recording process with the two men. As for how involved SZA is on the record is still to be determined and no release date has been announced. Other than live recordings from their Governor’s Ball set on YouTube, no official track has been released allowing for hype to be the only thing released ahead of the album.

Parker and Ronson have worked together prior to this year’s festival event. In 2014 the duo released Daffodils with Parker handling the vocals. Check back with Tune Collective for updates on the trio’s forthcoming album.

Both A-Trak and Baauer have made a name for themselves by never conforming in a sea of DJ/producers. Neither of them could ever be pinned to just one genre or trend, and that same versatility makes them an interesting match. Now the two pioneers have announced a special B2B Fall tour hitting select cities across the US, including two festivals.

A-Trak has had a strong year of lifting up DJ culture between Fool’s Gold’s acclaimed DAY OFF parties and the first annual Goldie Awards held this year in Brooklyn. In addition, A-Trak’s latest single “Believe” featuring Quavo and Lil Yachty has amassed over 10 million plays worldwide.

Baauer released his highly-anticipated debut album, Aa, last year to critical acclaim. He brought along on a star-studded list of collaborators like M.I.A., Pusha T, Future, Rustie and more, and made his late night TV debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert performing “Day Ones” with Leikeli47.
