Arguably Jay-Z‘s best album to date and possibly best album of the year continues to crank out new thought-provoking visuals as he unveils his latest video from the 4:44 for the track, “Moonlight”.
Directed by Alan Yang, the visual is a dynamic reflection of today’s Hollywood and the illusion it covers our eyes with to disguise the culture appropriation starring some of today’s hottest black talents.
The cast of reenacted characters from the hit comedy series, ‘Friends’ includes Issa Rae (Rachel), Jerrod Carmichael (Ross), Tessa Thompson (Monica), Tiffany Haddish (Phoebe), Lil Rel Howery (Joey), Lakeith Stanfield (Chandler), and Hannibal Buress, who plays himself.
Shooting an episode in front of a live studio audience, Carmichael has a moment of clarity with himself and ends up taking a walk to a park bench and looks at the Moon. As the scene close, the audio from the previous Oscars is played.
Jay-Z’s platinum selling album is available now for streaming everywhere. Jay-Z will be embark on the 4:44 Tour beginning next month, brought to you by Live Nation and Puma.
