Felmax is proving himself an unstoppable force in the bass music scene, purveying an uncannily aggressive sound with recent releases for labels including Spinnin’, Dim Mak and Trap Nation. Felmax is a hot, in-demand producer of recent, producing for major artists in the electronic and hip-hop scenes, but now giving fans what they want in the form of a newfangled original production ‘Make Love”. This release marks one of the first tracks in what is set to be a strong string of releases for Felmax, with show-stopping anthems set to drop every 3 weeks for the foreseeable future.

The tune was created alongside mysterious, eclectically-influenced DJ duo PURGE, known for an eerie production style aptly termed “Dark Bass”. This track is complimented by catchy vocals, signature 808’s, and a harmonic flute melody to wrap it all up. “Make Love” strikes a bass/trap chord but also has a spin of hip-hop and Jersey Club vibes, bringing the track together as a marvelously eclectic piece of music.

Fans can expect a lot more from both Felmax and PURGE as they have hinted at future collaborations and tons of new solo original works on the way.

What happens when you mix the sounds of bass-heavy DJ/producer, DOWNLOWD, with the funky vibe of pop duo, FLY BY MIDNIGHT? Is the successful mesh of two polarizing sounds even possible?

The answer is yes, and it comes today in form of DOWNLOWD’s most dynamic remix—and as the first release of the new year for the namely ‘wub wub wub’ producer. As an official undertaking for FLY BY MIDNIGHT, El Paso born/Los Angeles local genre-bending artist – DOWNLOWD, produces a remix for the popular single “XL.”

He resurfaces depth through vibrations of unique mystique for the already well-known track.

DOWNLOWD says of the project:

“I love Fly By Midnight and their tunes. I think they have huge potential to be the next big thing. Plus they’re great guys. The tune is a love song about getting cozy with your significant other- I really wanted to capitalize on the happy, positive vibes with the remix while giving it some energy.”

Whats more exciting, while DOWNLOWD has stated remixes won’t play into the main canon of his adventure (for now), the artwork for his remix of “XL” may hint at the possibility of potential ‘elseworlds’ in DOWNLOWD’s universe.
