With summer ending in the US and just starting in Australia, Gold Coast native Wongo will have you convinced that you’re posted up on a beach drinking a cold one, wherever you are. Wongo’s ‘Paradise’ is soft and seductive, drawing the listener in with twinkling instrumentals and a muted bass line that is complemented by San Mei’s velvety voice. With its dreamy feel, the track paints a picture of heady escapism and a sun-drenched love affair that is as hot as the Aussie sun. The track is out now on Sweat It Out, which has also released tracks by What So Not, Yolanda Be Cool (who also remixed ‘Paradise’), Monkey Safari and more.

This is the first time I have collaborated with a fellow Gold Coast local. When I first heard San Mei, I had a feeling we would be able to come up with something special,” says Wongo of the creation of “Paradise.” “It’s a track that portrays our sunny hometown whilst staying true to the vibes of my production style.”

Michael Push’s song ‘Tell Me Why’ featuring Stevie imparts a vibe of tranquil vacation. The song shouts summer, and more specifically, summer love. With airy vocals by Stevie, longing lyrics, and a fun, groovy beat that one can’t help but to dance to, or at least tap their toes to, the song is an anthem to longboards everywhere! The tropical drums make for a very sunkissed feeling when listening, and the whole thing is uplifting. The lovelorn lyrics of Stevie contrast highly with the light feel of the instrumentals. It’s a quintessential summer jam to play at any party, or get-together, that will put everyone in a carefree, extroverted mood.
