Premiere: Thom Bold & Rama Duke Deliver With ‘Please Don’t Wake Me’

Amsterdam based Thom Bold started gaining traction last year with his remix of MJ’s ‘Rock With You’ and ‘This Is A Beautiful Day’ which saw support from Martin Garrix, Sam Feldt, and more. Along with this he can be seen in the Chicago Social Club and Club Rex displaying his housesound and eclectic vision.

Now Thom Bold pairs up with impeccable Rama Duke to release ‘Please Don’t Wake Me’, which is an upbeat punch of soul that will get even the most tired dancing. Rama Duke infuses the track with her unique style which she calls ‘grunge soul’ and describes herself as ‘Loud, passionate and unapologetic’. The combination of the two leave the listener energized and ready to handle whatever task is at hand.

“The first time I worked with Rama some years ago, I was struck by her raw, limitless passion. She puts so much of herself into every note, word and phrase; with incredible respect—and awareness of—the context of the music and the arrangement. She also understands how to universally appeal to the audience.” – 1520 Entertainment, founder and CEO Jared Lee Gosselin

You’re about to get off of work and can’t stop pacing from side to side as you count down the minutes. You can almost taste Saturday brunch and hear the bass from the show you’ll be at in the next couple of hours, making work almost impossible. Now you’ve stumbled across this post that has so much good music that you can’t even control your head as it starts to bob to the beat and your feet start to dance in your seat..

This new Oliver Tree song will liberate you from your work week with his unique and uplifting sound that energizes you even with such a simplistic beat. Oliver Tree has to be one of my favorites from his quirky style and clear passion for his craft to his catchy songwriting that leaves a wake of fans in his path as he spreads his light from coast to coast. Starting your weekend with this one will ensure you keep that smile planted on your face.

If you don’t know NOVET then it’s about time you learn. I first learned of this little star from his track ‘Visionaries’ with INZO, where he effortlessly twists impactful lyrics with catchy melodies and rhythms that leave you stunned that the kid isn’t known more. Now he sends me his ‘Demolition Pt. II” project and I am left just as stunned. It starts with the track below ‘Feel It Still’, where NOVET crushes line after line and makes me feel bad for not even being able to get out a sentence without messing it up, while he keeps his momentous flow. If you hear this and can’t get enough, head over and check the rest out!

You’re ready to hit the dance floor after the last track and who better to take you there than DJ Francis Mercier on his latest ‘Like A Ghost’. This groovy tune feels like a slowed down house beat that has a touch of a disco feel, that spins you around with clubby drums, a that gripping deep house fifth bass.

By now you guys probably know about K?D and Wolfgang Gartner so I won’t introduce them…but will let the music speak for itself. This track is an intricate beauty that reminds me of a more groovy, less hard version of Skrillex’s ‘Kill Everybody’. With gritty synths, a kick that quite literally kicks you into gear and production so clean, you’ll be wondering why this track wasn’t added to your playlist like yesterday.

First off I love the cover art for this track, the project itself feels to me like Marshmello blended with Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas to give us all the melodic bass you could want. SNOWMASS takes you on a journey through ‘Breaking’ with atmospheric plucks and heavy hitting percussion which will have you feeling the opposite of cold…just what you need to get through your weekend in one piece.
